Dream Big: Engineers Week 2017

Engineers Week 2017YANMAR America Energy Systems is excited to celebrate Engineers Week from February 19-25, 2017. This annual event, held during the week of the nation's first engineer's, President George Washington, birthday is a time to celebrate how engineers make a difference in our world, to increase public dialogue about the need for engineers and to bring engineering to life.

The Energy Systems team currently has two engineers on staff, Mike Mehrvarz and Dustin Graham. Their role is to design YANMAR Energy Systems equipment into commercial facilities, as well as provide engineering support throughout the business development and product integration process. In addition, our team collaborates with engineers from other firms across the country for their customers’ projects, and we are proud members of several local chapters of the American Council for Engineering Companies (ACEC) and the American Society for Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

YANMAR as a company has a long history of engineering. Since 1912, we have been leading the way in the innovation of premium diesel engine products, all engineered and manufactured by YANMAR. Our founder Magokichi Yamaoka’s diesel engine innovation in 1933 was the world’s first commercially viable small diesel engine, which he designed to ease the work load of the Japanese farmer. By continually focusing on engineering, YANMAR is able to deliver products that exceed customer expectations and deliver exceptional lifetime value; these include industrial and marine diesel engines, generators, pumps, utility task vehicles, agricultural equipment, compact construction equipment, net cleaning robots, gas heat pumps, micro Combined Heat and Power systems and more.
