Naohiko Hosomi Named Division Manager for YANMAR America Energy Systems


Naohiko HosomiYANMAR America’s Energy Systems division is pleased to announce that Naohiko Hosomi will assume the role of Division Manager. Hosomi joins the YANMAR America team after spending 23 years at YANMAR Co, Ltd., including 13 years with YANMAR Energy Systems.

Arne Irwin, current Division Manager for YANMAR America Energy Systems, will continue his role as Division Manager for the Customer Support Division of YANMAR America.

“I’m excited for our Energy Systems dealers and employees because Hosomi-san’s deep experiences with end user customers and distribution partners will enable YANMAR America’s Energy Systems team to improve the lifecycle value of our products and services in the Americas,” commented Arne Irwin.

As Division Manager, Hosomi will be the primary leader responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the operations and fiscal health (including profit and loss) for all aspects of the Energy Systems business for YANMAR America. Responsibilities include all aspects of market research and identification, market segmentation and positioning, voice of the customer, value proposition, concept development, product business case development, market launch, field follow, marketing, sales and regionalization of the product. The manager is responsible for overseeing and leading team members, and for planning and maintaining work systems, procedures and policies that enable and encourage optimum performance of the team and division.

Hosomi holds a degree in Law from Doshisha University in Japan. In his 23 years with YANMAR Co., he has spent 5 years in Land Use Large Engine sales in Tokyo, 5 years in Land Use Large Engine sales in Osaka, 3 years in Energy Systems at YANMAR Shanghai and 10 years in Overseas Sales with YANMAR Energy Systems. During his time in Energy Systems, his accomplishments have included selling the first YANMAR 350 kWe gas cogeneration system for overseas in China, selling gas cogeneration systems to Tokyo Gas and serving as the division manager for Overseas Sales and Marketing.
