Propane Education & Research Council Launches Incentive Program for YANMAR CHP Systems

YANMAR 10 kW Combined Heat and PowerYANMAR America announces the release of a new incentive program by the Propane Education and Research Council (PERC) for its propane-fueled Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems. The Partner OEM Incentive Program was designed by PERC to encourage the adoption of new propane equipment in homes and businesses by providing a financial incentive to qualifying construction professionals, homeowners and businesses who purchase YANMAR’s propane-fueled cogeneration systems, and agree to share their experiences with PERC and its peers.

Qualifying equipment from YANMAR America includes a $5,000 incentive for the CP5WN (5 kW CHP) and a $10,000 incentive for the CP10WN (10 kW CHP). Up to $75,000 in total funds will be available under this program until March 31, 2017.

YANMAR’s cogeneration systems use a propane (or natural gas) engine to deliver useful heat and power to residential and commercial facilities. By capturing the waste heat produced during electrical generation and reusing it, these systems are able to provide more total efficiency than traditional stand-by generators. Additionally, by utilizing inverters, the CHP systems are able to deliver clean power to the facility for both standard model grid-connected systems and Blackout Start model grid-independent systems.

Participants in the program will be paid the incentive after they have purchased the qualifying equipment, and supplied PERC with a signed contract, W9, completed preseason survey and proof of purchase.
